One of the first things I did as Editorial Director at Nordstrom was create and edit the retailer’s first magazine, N, which later became Now magazine. Turning the catalog model on its head to be an editorial storytelling vehicle supporting business priorities, Now was a successful vehicle for retention customers to learn all about what’s new at Nordstrom.
A mixture of short shopping stories, street style get the looks, beauty content and features made this seasonal magazine a 360 look at what was going on in store and online. From new fashion brands and beauty products to Nordstrom Made must-haves shot in an editorial way rather than the traditional retail see-and-sell method.
